Introduction to Gunsmithing
Learn the fundamentals of gunsmithing in a hands-on lab setting. This course combines classroom instruction with supervised workshop time so students can bring and work on their own projects. Topics include history and operational theory, disassembly and reassembly, proper use of hand tools and precision measuring instruments, and an introduction to basic bench work used in the gunsmithing trade. The class will also cover minor repairs and installation of common firearm accessories. Students should bring a small project to work on during lab sessions; all work is performed under instructor supervision.

AR-15 Armorer
Whether you are a novice or a seasoned gun owner, this comprehensive course will empower you to become a masterful AR-15 Armorer. This 32-hour AR-15 Armorer course is spread across one month. This curriculum is designed to cover the fundamentals of AR-15 assembly, disassembly, maintenance and troubleshooting, and customization. Each week consists of hands-on instruction, demonstrations, and practical exercises.

Shotgun Armorer 101
Whether you're a novice or a seasoned gun owner, this comprehensive course will give you the skills to tackle gun issues as a Shotgun Armorer. This 18-hour Shotgun Armorer's course is designed to cover the fundamentals of pump, single shot, and semi-automatic shotgun assembly, disassembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Each week consists of hands-on instruction, demonstrations, and practical exercises.
- Age Requirement: Students must be 18 or older and provide proof of age with a photo ID on the first day of class.
- In-Person, Sandpoint, ID Class: The Shotgun Armorer's course takes place in person at the North Idaho College Sandpoint Annex in Sandpoint, ID.
- All tools and required materials will be provided for this class.
- Feel free to bring your own tools if you have them, or you can check out a loaner set from us at no cost.

Modern Polymer Pistolsmithing
Explore the history and evolution of polymer-framed pistols and learn safe, workshop-style approaches to customizing and modifying them. Topics include frame modification techniques (stippling, grip reductions, finger-groove removal), basic action/trigger tuning, sight and optic mounting, and accessory installation. This hands-on class asks students to bring a polymer-framed pistol (for example: Glock, HK, Springfield, Walther).

Single Action Revolversmithing
In this course, we will be working on Ruger single-action revolvers. We will explore the cycle of operation, timing, and how to perform a complete action job. This will reduce the trigger pull weight, trigger overtravel, and clean up the entire feel of the action, increasing reliability. Students should bring a working single-action Ruger revolver to class to learn on, Such as a Blackhawk, Vaquero, Bisley, or Wrangler.
