NIC hosting trick or treat open house Oct. 27

NIC is hosting its second-annual Career and Technical Education Trick or Treat Open House from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27 at the Parker Technical Education Center in Rathdrum.

The event is free and open to the public.

The all-ages family event is held indoors at NIC’s Parker Center where participants stop at each lab and collect candy while learning about the many CTE programs offered at NIC. Last year’s inaugural event attracted over 300 participants.

“It’s an awesome free and safe event for families,” NIC Marketing and Events Coordinator Elli Michael said. “It’s great to see the kids have fun walking through the halls and our staff get the chance to talk about the programs to their parents and guardians.”

The event also offers other family activities, guided tours of the Parker Technical Education Center and the opportunity to get photos with Cecil the Cardinal.
